My work explores perception, identity, and the layered nature of human experience. Through a combination of figurative elements and expressive abstraction, I construct visual environments that sit between clarity and distortion.

Central to my practice is the recurring motif of the eye — a symbol of awareness, surveillance, and inner consciousness. These forms are embedded within textured, gestural compositions, where colour and mark-making reflect emotional intensity and fragmented thought.

Working primarily in mixed media acrylic, I develop each piece through layers of intuitive and deliberate action, allowing structure and spontaneity to coexist. The result is a body of work that invites the viewer to question not only what they see, but how they see - CBK Statement
